Description:

CCIU operates comprehensive K-12 low-incidence special education programs, including life skills support, autistic support, multiple disabilities support, emotional support, behavioral health secondary programs, licensed partial hospitalization classrooms, school-based treatment classrooms, and provides mental health support to school districts and charter schools. Emotional support teachers, mental health therapists, and school counselors support the students at the Child and Career Development Center, CCIU Learning Center, and other programs. CCIU also provides psychiatric services to students. The Advanced Clinical Services provides direct and consultative services and supports students with emotional and behavioral disorders, including specialized assessment and intervention programs for students with anxiety disorders, including school refusal, selective mutism, tic disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
